A little Christmas Cheer

Today, I am so happy to head home to Cleveland to spend the Christmas holiday with my family. The last time I was home was in August for our opa's funeral, so I'm really looking forward spending some time with them on happy terms. In spirit of injecting little doses of happiness during this really sad time, I pulled some little things that may put a smile on your face. Give Me Some Yellow

 

The last few weeks I have been more and more attracted to yellow. 

I am not sure exactly why, but it sure does put me in a happier mood, and that sure helped with some life changes I've been adapting to over the last few weeks.  Or maybe, yellow reminds me of a good friend of mine who is moving from Ohio to sunny California. 

Either way, I think a little extra yellow in your life isn't a bad thing. 

In fact, I have been wearing a pair of yellow earrings that I purchased in Paris more and more because it puts me in a better mood. Here are a few things that could add a bit of pizazz to your everyday life.

Red Brick scarves

I'm really digging this new accessories line out of York, England, called Red Brick.

The scarves have a nice integration of illustration that looks like an organic, loose pattern design.

All Heart

Two weekends ago, I was walking around Williamsburg when I remembered my co-worker, Jessica, mention this cool shop that is off of Bedford between N4th and N5th.  I wandered around the small interior 'mall' of shops and found Me Me Antenna. After seeing all the pretty things, my eyes locked with this beauty and I knew I had to have it.

 

I know there is a huge trend out there with hearts (Comme des Garçons' logo, that infamous Holiday '11 JCrew Heart sweater, Wildfox's big heart T's) , but there is something so clean and endearing about a simple heart graphic that is timeless. 

 

So, I decided to pull together a list of great hearts around the web.

Dog Fever

I have a new-found obsession with french bulldogs, especially white ones, after seeing the movie, Due Date. I saw a white frenchie walking around LaGuardia airport when I was flying home to Cleveland during Christmas. The little guy was such a cutie w/ his owner.



So, when I saw this print I had a meltdown.

I'm also quite fond of great danes (but those dudes are huge!), sheep dogs (like the one from Babe), and pugs (see the video I posted a while ago here) or I would love to save a dog from the ASPCA some day.
